Meet Emmelie, Founder of FCL Academy

Hi, I’m Emmelie — the heart behind First Choice Language Academy. I’m a lifelong educator with a big love for languages, kids, and the magic that happens when the two come together.

I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Pedagogy and have been fortunate to teach students of all ages — from curious preschoolers to thoughtful teens in 12th grade — though my heart has always been with elementary-aged children. I’m also bilingual in English and German, and I’ve seen firsthand how learning another language can build confidence, spark curiosity, and open doors.

FCL Academy was born from my desire to create a space where language learning feels natural, fun, and meaningful — not just for kids, but for the teachers who guide them. As someone who’s spent years in the classroom, I understand what it takes to connect with students, and I bring that insight into every hiring decision I make.

I carefully select teachers who are not only fluent in their languages, but also passionate, patient, and experienced — people who love helping kids grow. Together, we’re building a warm, supportive learning environment where children can thrive and truly enjoy the journey of learning a new language.
